Happy Birthday today to Amy Ray.

Also, it was 8 years ago today that I decided that I “just had to say something” at a forum called US Politics at about.com. Why do I remember that? Because it was Amy Ray’s birthday.
And so it began… on and off… for eight years now…
Wow! I certainly won’t make that mistake again. 
This one is for you, Marybeth.
Opening Day, April 9th, 2007. West Michigan Whitecaps vs. the Lansing Lugnuts.
Even though it was colder than hell, it was so good to back back “home”. I’m looking forward to warm, sunny days and summer evenings under the lights.
Pure bliss.
Whitecaps pitcher Duane Below. He’s from Britton, MI. Poor guy walked six batters and took the loss. Did I mention it was really cold?
This was taken through the net, in the gloaming. I have some better pictures of him warming up, I just haven’t gotten around to processing them yet.
Whitecaps shortstop? Audy Ciriaco. He’s either short or second, I forget which. He missed this ball, and it went into center field. Ah well, the season is young.
It’s peaceful on this blog. Maybe I’ll hang out here a bit.

Since my other blog has been hijacked by my own ramblings, maybe I’ll turn this into my real blog.

There is also a good live version of “Game of Pricks” up there, but the audio on the vocals is low- so I picked this one instead.
I was on my way to Chicago to see them on the “Alien Lanes” tour, and my car broke down near Benton Harbor. As a result, I never saw GBV. And I am sad about that.
For the most part the 70′s stuff I’m finding is lip-sync TV appearances. Not that there’s anything wrong with that…
